On Saturday, 14 March 2020, the Reale Società Canottieri Bucintoro and Canottieri Giudecca are offering to city residents, as part of the initiatives of the “Women’s Month 2020”, free rowing lessons, from 10.00 to 17.00. To participate, reservations are required, by Wednesday 11 March, by sending an email to segreteria@bucintoro.org
The rowing lessons will take place at the Canottieri Giudecca and will be held by instructors from the two organizers, with the collaboration of competition-level women rowers and other Venetian rowing clubs.
1st lesson at 10.00 am – 2nd lesson at 11.00 am – 3rd lesson at 12.00 – 4th lesson at 14.00 – 5th lesson at 15.00.
For those who wish, there will be a convivial moment for lunch.
During the day, the master oar makers of the Association “El Felze” will illustrate the art of the construction of Venetian forcole and oars and experts of the two rowing clubs will illustrate, with slides, the peculiarities of Venetian rowing in relation to the specificity of the Lagoon and the history of Venice (11.00 and 14.00).
