The race judges Bepi and Palmiro Fongher gave the start precisely at 11:06, and the voice of Paolo Levorato followed the course of the race for the spectators: five mascarete bow to bow at the start, up to San Polo and the mark where the brown mascareta of San Vio took the lead, passing under the Rialto bridge at 11:16, followed by the orange of Malaga (Francesco Guerra) and the yellow of Saccarosio (Sandro Inchiostro), bow to bow in second position all the way to the finish line at the Rialto, finally the green mascareta of Plastega (Marco Menegatti) and last the white of Piombo (Francesco Casellati).
